Virtual healthcare trends in Canada to be discussed at next CHEPA seminar

The state of virtual healthcare in Canada will be examined during CHEPA’s first seminar of 2018, being held MONDAY, January 15, from 11 a.m. to 12 noon (Please note the change of day and time).

In her presentation From e-Booking to e-Visits and Beyond: Virtual Care Trends, Economics, and Policy Perspectives, guest speaker Dr. Jennifer Zelmer, president of Azimuth Health Group, will discuss the current state of virtual care in Canada and how it is evolving.

She will also explore key economic and policy issues related to these trends and how they affect the scale and spread of virtual care.

Dr. Zelmer is President of Azimuth Health Group, which provides a range of advisory services to local, national and international clients who seek to advance health and healthcare.

As well, she is the Editor-In-Chief of Healthcare Policy, an adjunct faculty member at the University of Victoria and Faculty/Advisor to the Canadian Foundation for Healthcare Improvement. She also serves on a range of health-related advisory committees and boards.

She holds a MA and PhD in economics from McMaster University and a B.Sc in health information science from the University of Victoria.

The seminar will take place on MONDAY January 15, from 11 a.m. to 12 noon in CRL-B119. All are welcome to attend.
